Limited management and reports on measuring efficiency and labour
Due to the scale of the business, our client required a more robust way of carrying out time studies across their manufacturing sites globally, because when time studies are done correctly, they provide a granular, normalized view of a multi-step process. They can be used to drive efficiency in processes, improve factory and process design, and improve the output and experience of workers. Identifying skills gaps and creating targeted training initiatives.
In the current time studies process, the business, like many other manufacturing companies used spreadsheets to capture the data and therefore it was difficult to access and analyse the data and was a very tedious process.
The solution
WrxFlo designed a solution that allows engineers to categorise and measure the time required to complete each task through the WrxFlo Time Study system. The data can then be analysed automatically as it is entered.
So, instead of using paper and clipboard, the Engineer, uses the WrxFlo time study application which can be loaded onto a tablet or any handheld device. The Engineer will record the time study tests using this application. The application is connected to the cloud, so shows all the sample data collected throughout the time study. The information from all time study tests, are now online using the application, so now it’s much easier to pull the information into a user-friendly dashboard to complete analytics.
