WrxFlo has successfully completed a new project with a European logistics provider. Based in Ireland, and serving the Irish, EU and UK markets, this client works across many industries and sectors. With experience in many complex areas, including freight forwarding, refrigerated and dry cargo, hazardous goods, transport, and import/export documentation this client was looking to expand its operations.
To aid growth, the client looked to maximise the efficiency of their fleet and provide better communications to their end customers, but this was being limited by issues with their previous management system. This system was based on two separate applications requiring much manual input, one for fleet tracking and one for order management, needing manual updates. Due to challenges with this system, the client had poor visibility into their operations, such as the exact location of their fleet at any given time, and the transport capacity of any given truck. On top of this, the client is operating in a challenging environment, due to increased documentation around Brexit and challenges in the supply chain for all businesses.
Achieving greater efficiency with real-time insights into their fleet
For these reasons, the client needed greater visibility of their fleet and reliable KPIs to manage their business. One of the greatest challenges to the client was the manual data input required to utilise their existing systems.
When the client first engaged with WrxFlo, we set about connecting their two systems and bridging any gaps in functionality. We then looked at the client’s fleet and connected to the GPS systems on each truck, and brought this data into the WrxFlo dashboard we created for the client. With this, the client had visibility on every truck at any given time. By connecting their fleet and order management systems, the client could also see the cargo on each truck and its capacity.

In logistics, having an order arrive a day early can be as problematic as a day late. With this information, the client was able to identify when a shipment was on-time, early or delayed, and keep their customers updated.
With improved visibility, the client can now see when any truck has spare capacity, along with its exact location in real-time, allowing the client to schedule extra shipments with each truck.
The client has also reduced downtime across their fleet. With predictive maintenance enabled by the WrxFlo dashboard, the client can reduce breakdowns and avoid unplanned shipment delays.
